About
Luis Angel Espinosa is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Climate Change Studies at the Association of Instituto Superior Técnico for Research and Development (IST-ID), Portugal. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the IST. He is a Civil Engineer with specialisation in Hydraulics (UNAM). His research focuses on changes in hydrological extremes, and on teleconnection of hydrological variables development (e.g. rainfall trends) and large-scale atmospheric modes (e.g. the North Atlantic Oscillation) likely in urban environments or coastal cities. He has experience in a large number of data mining techniques and tools for extracting trends, characteristics or rules from data which are relevant for Hydrology.
