I have an MSc Degree in urban planning, Assistant lecturer at the faculty of the urban and regional planning-Cairo university, and Ph.D. student and research associate at DPRI, Kyoto University. Interesting in urban planning policies, urban growth, urbanization, flash and urban floods, land-use change, disaster risk management, mitigation strategies, GIS-based techniques, remote sensing, flood modeling, and simulation. I am working now on filling the gap between Climatology, Hydrology, and Urban planning disciplines through an integrated approach to flood risk reduction in the Egyptian cities.
