Dr. Deepak Kumar is presently employed as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Soil & Water Conservation Engineering at GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology (GBPUA&T) in Pantnagar, India. Prior to his role at GBPUA&T Pantnagar, he gained experience through involvement in multiple projects at the Department of Hydrology, IIT Roorkee. Dr. Kumar earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Water Resource Engineering, from IIT Delhi. He also holds an M. Tech in Agricultural Systems and Management from IIT Kharagpur, India. With a portfolio that includes the publication of more than 15 research articles in SCI journals and four book chapters, Dr. Kumar's research interests center along groundwater management, soil and water conservation techniques, and the application of remote sensing technologies.
