Mohmed Hamouda is an associate professor of water and environmental engineering. Dr. Hamouda received his B.Sc. degree in civil engineering, M.Eng. in construction management, and MSc. in African water resources studies from Cairo University, Egypt, in 2001, 2002, and 2006, respectively. He then obtained his Ph.D. degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, in 2011. He conducts research and consultancies on topics related to water and wastewater treatment, hydraulics of water supply and stormwater control, hydrology and flood management, and urban water resources management. Dr. Hamouda attracted funding for more than 20 research projects with a total funding of around USD 1.5 million. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed papers and won several academic awards for active academic publishing in top-tier journals. Dr. Hamouda has experience in training HQP. He has supervised and mentored more than 15 graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in the last six years. He is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario, Canada; the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research, The International Water Association, UK; The American Water Works Association; The Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers, Egypt; and the European Geosciences Union, Germany.
