PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales of the UNED and Electrical Engineer from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with postgraduate training at master's level in Business Administration and Management (University of Alcalá), Project Management (University of Salamanca), and Integrated Management Systems (University of the Balearic Islands). Regarding my research activity, I have published 54 scientific articles in JCR indexed journals (41 of them Q1) and 2 patents; 15 book chapters that include scientific or technological research results; contributed to 10 research congresses with relative quality indexes; and edited 10 books in prestigious international publishing houses. In addition, I have carried out international predoctoral and postdoctoral mobilities supported by results in research centres and universities of recognised prestige such as the Joint Research Centre (Ispra, Italy) and the University of Porto (Portugal). Regarding my teaching merits, I was, from September 2015 to September 2018, Collaborating Professor at the American University of Europe in official programmes with the recognition of Official Validity of Studies (RVOE) of Mexico; I worked, from October 2018 to February 2020, as Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Systems and Automatics of the University of León; I have directed 15 Bsc. thesis; published 8 teaching books in prestigious publishers and 3 teaching articles in journals indexed in the JCR; participated with results in the form of publications in 9 congresses with teaching results; and participated, as a teacher, in non-regulated teaching at postgraduate level. Since February 2020 I am a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In terms of leadership, it is worth mentioning that since June 2022 I am responsible for the research line "Resilient Energy Systems" of the Research Group on Renewable Energy Systems of the ULPGC; that since November 2022, I am Promoter and Coordinator of the Ibero-American Network of Researchers in Energy Systems Analysis (RIASE); that I have directed (with a maximum of 2 directors) four PhD theses in which relevant contributions were generated and 14 Msc. thesis; that I am associate editor of the journals Plos One, Processes, Sustainability, Electronics, and International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems; and that, since June 2024, I am part of the Scientific Committee of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance.
