Abstract: The present work aims to present a resilience assessment system for water distribution networks (WDN) capable of adequately evaluating resilience characteristics, such as robustness, flexibility, reliability, redundancy and autonomy, at a tactical level. The resilience assessment system (RAS) covers both the infrastructure and the service dimensions of water distribution systems and is composed of seven resilience objectives. Each objective attends to different criteria and is assessed through different metrics. The proposed metrics allow two analyses: a global analysis, based on historical data, that provides prioritisation information at system level; and a comprehensive and sectorial analysis, based on more detailed data, that may require the hydraulic simulation of the network behaviour. Obtained results allow to identify critical resilience aspects of the WDN and to propose improvement measures to increase resilience.
