Abstract: The Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique was applied on Coanda screens with an inclination of 45 degrees. This campaign aimed at analysing the velocity field in a longitudinal plane of the flow on three different screen configurations, with 1.6 mm width of the wedge wires, 1.5 mm slot between each two wires and different tilt wire angles (3,5 and 7°). The experiments were carried out in a 0.5 m wide flume with a flow rate of 102.22 [l s-1 m-1] and a high-speed camera IX Camera I- Speed 720 was used to define the velocity field. The results obtained represent additional information of interest for the characterization of the flow on screens with Coanda effect, and thus be able to improve the design of these screening systems.
