Awards: Honorary Fellow of IAHR Ecohydraulics in 2024; international Fish Passage 2020 Career Achievement Award; Fellow of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) in 2012; CSCE Dagenais Award in 2007; Government of Canada Distinction Award in 2007; Award of Excellence for application of GPR for River Ice Surveys in 2008; humanitarian award in 2018. Editor-in-Chief of the international Journal of Ecohydraulics in 2015-2020; served as Associate Editor for JRBM 2003-2010; and Guest-Editor for 3 special issues of different journals.
